The light brown wood putty from Pufas is a ready-to-use, natural-coloured synthetic resin putty for the quick repair of damaged wooden surfaces. It is suitable for filling and smoothing cracks, holes and broken edges on wooden surfaces and can be used indoors and, with a weather-resistant top coat, also outdoors. In addition, Pufas Holzkitt has a high filling capacity and can be applied in one operation up to a layer thickness of 5 mm.
First of all, it should be ensured that the substrate is load-bearing and free of separating agents. Weathered wood must be removed down to the sound layer. Before use, the tube must be kneaded well. The wood filler can then be pressed directly into the area to be repaired and smoothed with a spatula. The wood filler can be applied up to a layer thickness of 5 mm in one operation. For deeper holes, a further coat can be applied after the first coat has dried. Depending on the layer thickness, absorbency of the substrate and ambient temperature, the drying time is 6 - 12 hours. After complete curing, Pufas Wood Filler can be painted with all water-based paints and varnishes. When used outdoors, a weather-resistant top coat must be applied after drying. Make sure that you do not apply the wood filler below + 5° Celsius substrate temperature. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
