The mat base and roof paint by Wilckens in (brick) red, schist (grey), (stone) gray or havanna is a finished, high-covering, abrasion-resistant, weather-resistant and water-dilutable emulsion paint for outdoor use. Particularly suitable for weatherproof new and renovation coatings of wall and foot surfaces made of concrete, plaster, masonry and old coatings as well as for roof tiles and fiber cement boards in the driving rain area. It is easy to clean and protects your property against wind and weather. Water vapor permeable, UV stable, lightfast and low in solvents.
Processing advise: Please read the product labeling carefully before you use this product and follow the dangers and safety instructions. The substrate must be clean, firm, dry and free from release agents (formwork oils, grease or similar). Old, unsustainable paintings must be completely removed. Strongly absorbent or tender-sanding substrates, also roof tiles and fiber cement boards please pretreat with primer. New and unpainted plasters must dry for at least 4 weeks. Remove vegetation thoroughly by brushing, scraping, washing or with algae remove. The plinths must be protected against rising damp from the ground and from the inside. Roof pitch should be at least 3°. Mix the container well and pay attention to equal batches when processing several containers!
1. Paint build-up on plaster and concrete
a) Substrate correspond to the preparatory work
b) Prime or solidify critical substrates accordingly.
c) 1 x priming with base and roof paint diluted with 5 % - 10 % water
d) 1 -2 top coats undiluted
2. paint build-up on old paint coats or renovation paint coats
a) prepare the substrate accordingly
b) Prime or solidify critical substrates accordingly
c) Prime 1 x with base and roof paint diluted with 5 % water
d) 1 -2 top coats undiluted
The drying time depends on the substrate (at 20°C, 65% rel. humidity): workable dry: approx. 8 hours
Lower temperatures and higher humidity increase the drying time!
Danger/Caution: Store closed containers in a cool, but frost-free place - do not use below + 5 °C substrate and ambient temperature and do not expose to strong sunlight - keep out of the reach of children - if medical advice is required, have packaging or identification label ready - avoid eating, drinking or smoking while using the paint - observe the usual protective measures even when applying low-pollutant paints - in case of contact with skin and eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water - do not discharge into the sewerage system, Do not inhale spray mist - during spraying work use combination filter A2/P2, during grinding work use dust filter P2 - only completely empty containers can be recycled, dried material residues can be disposed of as household waste, liquid material residues can be disposed of at the collection point for old paint
