Silicate paint for interiors from Wilckens

The silicate-based interior paint from Wilckens is highly opaque with safe and natural protection from algae, fungi and bacteria. It is water-based and also moisture-regulating and highly permeable to water vapor. For room climate-improving, healthy living new coatings on mineral substrates capable of silicification, e.g. B. natural stone, concrete, masonry, plasterboard, fiber cement panels, mineral thermal insulation plaster, lime, cement and gypsum plaster, the interior paint is ideal. However, the paint can also be used for renovations on old lime, silicate and mineral paint substrates. It is notsuitable for surfaces such as wallpaper, oil paints and lacquer surfaces. Furthermore, the color can be mixed with silicate-based full and tinting paints. In the case of universal pastes, the pigment compatibility must be checked (observe lighter drying of the colors).

Processing:

The surface must be suitable, clean, dry, free of grease, level, stable, absorbent and adhesive. New plaster should dry at least four weeks beforehand. Intact/unsuitable coatings should be completely removed before painting, repair damaged areas with a spatula. Glue/lime paint and chalky surfaces should be washed off thoroughly. Clean extremely dirty surfaces with a fat-dissolving household cleaner. Glass, painted surfaces, metal, marble, tiles, natural/artificial stone, clinker, ceramics, wood, etc. cover. Wipe off splashes immediately with a damp cloth. Air, object, material temperature should be at least +8°C. Always stir the product thoroughly before use. Prime the surface as required . Paint, roll, brush or spray airless in a crosswise motion wet-on-wet (please note the information from your device manufacturer regarding nozzle size and material pressure). For a primer coat, mix 2 parts silicate paint and 1 part diluted silicate primer and apply. Apply final/top coat preferably undiluted or set ready for use with up to max. 5% silicate primer. Depending on the substrate, 1 - 2 undiluted coats are sufficient. The paint is surface dry after approx. 2-3 hours. It can be overworked after 12 hours at the earliest. Clean tools immediately after use with soap and water.
