Herbol Herbosil is a highly water vapor permeable, silicone resin-reinforced, filled Sil facade paint with reliable moisture protection. The Sil facade paint is equipped with a preventive film protection against algae and moss infestation. With coarse plaster, the facade paint offers excellent grain coverage and adheres very well to mineral substrates such as silicate paints, silicate emulsion paints, emulsion paints and synthetic resin plaster. Coarse spray and scratch plaster can be painted over safely and reliably.
The substrate must be firm, clean, load-bearing, dry, free from efflorescence and algae , moss, fungi, flour, sinter layers and release agents. Soiling caused by soot and chalking components must be cleaned beforehand. Repair defects, holes and damage with putty. Depending on the substrate, apply a primer (see info download). In the case of high-contrast substrates or strong color differences between the old coat and the renovation color, an intermediate coat of Herbol Herbosil, diluted approx. 10% with water, in the desired new color is always required. Then coat generously and evenly with Herbol Herbosil, diluted max. 5-10% by volume with water. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
Consumption:
approx. 180 ml/m² per coat (on smooth surfaces); up to approx. 450 ml/m² per coat (on rough substrates).
